Island Sainte Marie - The Pirate’s Island
Journey from BRD (Munich) via Paris on Monday . Back to BRD (other
take-off ports BRD on enquiry possible) from Antananarivo on Tuesday.
Flight to St. Marie, Wednesday, back on Monday, two overnight stay in Tana necessary.

Excursion possibilities:
Sainte Marie:width 5 kkm, lenght 60 km, a green paradise for long walks, wonderful beaches, round-tour with chauffeur by car (possibility to rent a car for a day), swimming, snorkelling.
Ilot Madame: small island with a cemetery for pirates, the oldest church an aquarium.
Ambodifototra: sleepy village with port, market-square and souvenir-shops
Ile aux Nattes: a proper island, beautiful and an ideal spot for swimming and snorkelling.
Landre:many wild growing spices
If desired, folkloric dances re shown by a native family at soanambo
Whale-Watching from June to September, boat-trip.
Bikes (approx. 6 EUR), motorbikes (approx. 45 - 60 EUR), also cars (approx. 60 - 120 EUR) per day may be rent.
Remarks:
Hotel Soanambo: according to guests the best installation, partly air-conditioned, swimming-pool, but bery poor beach
Hotel Princesse Bora: a new and very exclusive
plant by a Swiss direction - therefore very expensive. All kinds of
water sports and entertainment are available. Lie conveniently to the
village and to the airport.
Hotel Maningory on the Ile aux Nattes: very
nice and small plant, a favorable alternative to the large
plants of higher quality like Soanambo, Cocoteraie or Princesse Bora.
Family and very natural.
Note:
Of course there is the possibility of choosing also other hotels. The
flight days and flying times just are according to a desire of their
own to book as far as possible. This is only an example.
Hotel Cocotaire: very good plant, best beach, expensive
food, lie at the end of the island. ideal for swimming, walking,
whale-watching and specially for Nature enthusiasts. Very quiet and
restful. Because of the poor way only heavily attainable
Hotel La Crique: good plant, beach good,
according to the guest the personnel is insufficient. booking
difficult, Swimming and whale-watching good, Simply, quiet, beautiful,
lie on half a way of the island.
You are always welcome to ask us about the kind of travel experience you are looking for; we (almost) always come up with a solution. Alternatively, you can arrange an appointment with us for an individual consultation, and we will make a customised offer.
Hotel arrangements may be subject to alteration. Departure times of flights can be postponed by as much as several days, as airlines can change their operating days in the course of the year. All remaining trips are then reorganised in accordance with customers’ wishes.
Suitable vehicles are arranged in accordance with the number of travellers (1-8) to ensure the best value. English- or German-speaking guides are available, as is the option to travel without a guide. These trips can also be reorganised on an individual basis depending on areas of interest.
Whether as part of an organised programme or as an extra, we can also offer a few refreshing and therapeutic days for a chance to bathe, as required. Tours on the themes of mineral wealth, ornithology and botany are available by arrangement, but require planning and booking well in advance due to time restraints and the availability of skilled personnel.
