Study trips - Roundtrip adventure
Journey to a very different regions in Madagascar. From the rain forest of Montagne d'Ambre in the north, to the hilly region of Tana and the dry southwest coast up to the seaside resort Ifaty. Before the return flight to Europe a short visit to the famous national park Andasibe.
TOUR
1st day: journey to Paris
Flight to Madagascar.
2nd day: Arrival at Antananarivo
In the morning arrival at Ivato Airport in Antananarivo, also named Tana. Check-out, service and transfer to the Hotel. Then we go sightseeing and visit tne zoological and botanical garden Tsimbazaza. Gregoire or equivalent, bed and breakfast.
3th day: Anantanarivo - Diego Suarez
Transfer and flight to Diego Suarez located in the north. Transfer to the Hotel and sightseeing tour in the city. King's Lodge or equivalent Bed and breakfast.
4th day: National reserve Montagne d’Ambre
Excursion to the national reserve Montagne d’Ambre. Thanks to its altitude, this area has a moderate climate. We can see there a variety of animals and plants. Some plants are medicinal and endemics. Our Guide we'll show us many intersting thing such as geckos, chameleons, holy lake, waterfalls, botanical path etc. At midday we have a breack and picnic. Then we continue our visit in the reserve. Late afternoon drive back to Diégo. Bed, breakfast and picnic lunch.
5th day: National reserve Ankarana
Today we go to the national reserve Ankarana. A dry forest with canyons, grottos and the famous "Tsingy". We take our time sufficiently for a walk and animal observations in this spectular scenery of the "Tsingy of Ankarana". Numerous plants and animals species live here. The bird world is also respresented strongly. Bed, breakfast and picnic lunch.
6th day: Diego Suarez - Antananarivo
Flight back to Tana. In Tana transfer to the Hotel. The rest of the day is free. Bellevue or equivalent, bed and breakfast.
7th day: Antananarivo - National reserve Ranomafana
We start the long and arduous trip to the famous national park Ranomafana. Bed and breakfast, Bungalow Domaine nature or equivalent.
8th day: National reserve Ranomafana - Fianarantsoa
Visit to the national reserve of Ranomafana and the hot springs. Towards the evening drive to Fianarantsoa. Bed and breakfast, Hotel Soafia or equivalent.
9th day: Fianarantsoa - Ranohira
Passing the Andringitra mountain chain and across the Horombre-plateau our journey goes to Ranohira. On the way visit to the factory of the famous Antaimoro paper. Bed and breakfast, Hotel Joyau de l'Isalo or equivalent.
10th day:National park Isalo - Tulear
In the morning we visit the reserve of Isalo and its water spring "Piscine Naturelle". Afternoon we continue to Tulear. On the we'll see baobabs and mahafaly tombs. The tombs are taboo. Victory BB
11th - 12th day: Ifaty
Transfer to Ifaty, a seaside resort. Relax, beach etc. (Saty in Ifaty without guide). Lakana Vezo or equivalent BB
13th day: Tulear - Antananarivo
Transfer to Tulear airport and flight bach to Tana. Gregoire or equivalent BB
14th day: Marozevo - Andasibe
Journey to Marozevo, to the Peyreiras reptiles fram. Beside the most different reptile species, with a little luck we'll see also the greatest butterfly with span width aproxx. 30 metres. Then we continue to Andasibe. Feon'ny Ala or equivalent BB
15th day: Perinet - Analamaozatra- nature reserve
In the morning visit to the reserve of Andsibe. Species of animals as rare as Lemurs and Makis live here in the midst of tropical vegetation of Analamazaotra reserve. The most remarkable is the Indri (the biggest lemur worldwide). An unforgettable experience for all nature-lovers. Afternoon bach to Tana. Gregoire BB
16th day: Tana - Flight back to Paris
Today visit to the artisan market. Afternoon transfer to the airport and flight back to Paris.
17th day: Arrival in Paris
Arrival in Paris.
